A SCHOOLBOY was found hanged at his home in South Yorkshire by his mother.
Truman Edley, 15, was found in the hallway of the family home in Wickersley, Rotherham, by his 33-year-old mother, Nicola.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at Rotherham hospital.
The teenager, a Year 11 pupil at Wickersley School and Sports College, had gone out with friends last Saturday morning.
It is thought he then returned during the afternoon and hanged himself while alone in the house. Emergency services were called at 5.30pm.
His grandfather Robert Edley, 63, said the family was “shocked” and added: “Whatever the issues, whatever the problems, he’d pretty much kept them to himself.
“He was always close and very loving.”
Friends have set up a tribute page on Facebook and a special assembly was held at Wickersley School.
One of his friends wrote on the social networking site: “We all love and miss you buddy. Not the same without you.”
Police are now examining the contents of Truman’s mobile phone and laptop.
