Shortlisting for this year’s Yorkshire Business Awards took place at Leeds Beckett’s Cloth Hall Court following a rigorous judging process.

Organisers will be hoping to top the £140,000 raised for Variety from last year’s event, which the charity uses to help improve the lives of some of the country’s most disadvantaged children.

Sir Chris follows in the footsteps of Sir Trevor McDonald who was keynote speaker at last year’s event which also featured a hilarious appearance from the Brownlee brother Alistair and Johnny who recounted the strenuous exploits they had had to put themselves through in order to become the world’s best triathletes.

The Yorkshire Post is a proud sponsor of the event, alongside Leeds Beckett University, Rothschild, EY, Ideas That Work, Clarion, Yorkshire Bank, Henderson Insurance Brokers, Endless and Core Telecom.
