Murder probe after man is stabbed to death in Sheffield

The 21-year-old victim was found injured after emergency services were called to a house on Southey Avenue, Longley, at about 9.45pm yesterday.

He was taken to hospital but died later in the evening, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police confirmed.

The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Today the scene of the incident was cordoned off as detectives tried to determine the exact sequence of last night’s events.
