Yorkshire Building Society has revealed plans to open new branches in Bingley and Pudsey by the summer.

The lender announced last month that it will open 12 new branches over the next two years and further expand its agency network.

This will see the total number of group branches rise to 226.

Chris Pilling, chief executive, said: “We are committed to retaining a strong presence on our high streets and in the local community surrounding our branches and agencies and we’re proud to be opening new offices at a time when many financial institutions have been closing theirs.”
