A teenage boy from Withernsea is the latest to have been given an anti-social behaviour order.

David Lucifer Nolan was given the two-year Asbo after being found guilty at Hull Magistrates of damaging two windows at Withernsea High School when the site was closed, assaulting a 12-year-old boy and shouting abusive language at Fantasy Island Amusement Arcade on Memorial Avenue in the town.

Pc Will Stephenson said the 15-year-old, from Bannister Road, had repeatedly ignored bans from the local amusement arcades. He added: “He isn’t just impinging on staff – they are relatively thick-skinned. There are many paying customers there with small children and it is not right or proper that people legitimately using arcades should have to listen to a gobby 15-year-old being verbally abusive to staff and refusing to leave.”

Posters have gone up in Withernsea with a picture of the youngster and advertising the terms of the two-year order. If he breaches its terms, he faces a £5,000 fine or a term of up to five years in a detention centre.

Breaches can be reported to the East Riding Anti-Social Behaviour Team on 01482 396380 or Humberside Police on 101.
