One man dead and one critical after car hit tree in Keighley

A DRIVER died and two of three passengers were seriously injured in a single car crash in Keighley.

The man aged in his thirties was driving a blue Fiat Punto along Laycock Lane towards Braithwaite Road when it left the road and struck a road sign and a tree just after 11pm on Wednesday.

Emergency services attended, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other men aged in their twenties who were passengers in the car suffered serious injuries and were taken to Leeds General Infirmary. 

One of the men was said to be in a critical condition this morning.  

A boy aged in his early teens suffered minor injuries

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the movements of the vehicle prior to it is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101, quoting log 2127 of 24 May.
