YP Letters: Blair joins chorus of moaning from bad losers of Brexit

Tony Blair's Brexit intervention has not been welcomed.

YOU quote remoaner Wakefield MP Mary Creagh saying “I think the people I represent will have their lives made immeasurably poorer by this decision...”

The people she purports to represent voted 66.3 per cent to leave the EU (The Yorkshire Post, February 18).

I conclude that she thinks  the electorate of Wakefield  are too uneducated to formulate a rational response to the question “do you want to leave or remain”?

MY advice to our negotiators would be to stop paying our enormous fees to the corrupt EU tomorrow, and tell our continental cousins in plain English that whatever tariff they impose on the goods we export, we will apply exactly the same to EU goods entering the UK.

The impact of that on the EU car manufacturers and food producers would be catastrophic. The bureaucrats and politicians would soon realise that their vindictive attempt to punish the UK would be a disaster for the remaining EU member states.

TONY Blair tells the British people to “rise up” against the EU referendum result. He is promoting revolution. Why has he not been arrested?

SOME have criticised ex-PM Tony Blair’s speech as “insulting the intellegence of the voter”. I suggest that it is far more foolish to over-estimate that intelligence. Could anyone seriously expect non-academic, hard-working people to analyse the social, political and economic ramifications of Brexit in their few spare hours?

I THINK it is marvellous that Tony Blair is standing up for  the EU.

The sooner he moves his family and his ill-gotten gains to Brussels, the richer this country will be – morally if not financially.
