Pensioner's phone snatched in busy Hull street

A man grabbed and threatened a pensioner who was using a cash machine before stealing his phone on a busy street in Hull today.

Police are appealing for information after the white Samsung Galaxy S3 mini was snatched from the 70-year-old male victim on Holderness Road around 7.15am today.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: "The victim was using a cash machine, when he was allegedly grabbed and threatened by an unknown man.

"The man then took the victim’s phone from his pocket and ran away down Holland Street."

The victim was not hurt but was left shaken by the incident.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build and aged in his early 20s. He was wearing an all black tracksuit and a dark baseball cap.
