The four-year-old boy who died in a house fire on Monday was tonight named by police.

Nathan Harrison and his 10-year-old brother were taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a house in Sunnyhill Grove, Keighley at 2pm on Monday.

He died but police have said his brother’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Residents in Sunnyhill Grove in Keighley remained in a state of shock yesterday as police and firefighters continued their investigation into the cause of the blaze.

“They spoke of how emergency crews took the two boys out of the house on stretchers on Monday afternoon.

The younger sibling was described as a “cheeky little blond-haired boy”.

It is believed the family had just moved into the area.

Julie Mitchell, aged 35, who lives next door to the family, heard the boys’ mother crying out for help after the fire started in the back bedroom of their property. She said: “She was screaming for her little boy. It’s so sad; he was the same age as my little girl.”
