POLL RESULT: How you voted on Theresa May and the single market

The results of a Yorkshire Post poll on the UK's membership of the European single market proved to be a close call.

Over 15,000 readers voted in the online poll to give their opinion on Theresa May's decision to leave the single market in favour of negotiating her own trade deals following Brexit.

We asked if the prime minister was right to want to take the UK out of the single market.

Just over half - 54 per cent - said no, she is wrong to go it alone, while the remaining 46 per cent agreed with her stance.
