This tiara could be the perfect Christmas present for a pop fan – if you have up to £25,000 to spare, that is.
The gold and diamond crown tiara, made by jewellery designer Slim Barrett, was worn by the then Spice Girl Victoria Adams, above, at her wedding to David Beckham in July 1999.
It is expected to fetch between £18,000 and £25,000 when it is auctioned at Bonhams in London next week, having been put up for sale by Barrett.
The Irish designer called the tiara East of Paris. He said of his creation: “Inspiration for East of Paris came from my love of Eastern design and Parisian haute couture... so I set out to fuse the two styles.”
The fairy-tale piece, which was exhibited by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in its 100 Tiaras, Past and Present show, is made from 18-carat yellow gold, set with large brilliant-cut diamonds and suspended diamond drops.
