AN investigation is underway after a man in his 50s died following an incident involving a vehicle at a North Yorkshire farm this week.
The Health and Safety Executive confirmed that it was examining the circumstances surrounding the man’s death at Foulrice Farm, near Stearsby alongside North Yorkshire Police.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called at around 3.55pm on Tuesday 7 January 2014 to the sudden death of a man in his fifties following an incident involving an agricultural vehicle at a farm near Stearsby, York.
“The man suffered serious head injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
“North Yorkshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive are jointly investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to establish the cause of the man’s death.”
