A TEAM of hard-working volunteers has spent the last decade making sure Pudsey looks blooming marvellous.
The Pudsey in Bloom organisation is now ten years old, after being established in 2003 with help from local councillors and the parks department.
With the core aim of making Pudsey a more attractive place for residents and visitors, the group also wanted to encourage everybody living in the area to take pride in their environment.
The group’s work includes planting tubs and troughs around the town twice a year in autumn, with spring bedding and bulbs and again in summer with summer flowers.
Sites worked on by the team include Sparrow Park, the small park in Lowtown and flower beds around the leisure centre car park.
