PROFESSIONAL services firm PwC has revealed that three new equity partners are joining its Yorkshire practice.

Karen Finlayson and Dan Burke have both joined the partnership, after being promoted from director.

Ms Finlayson has been with the firm’s audit practice in Yorkshire for the last 18 years. She works in the firm’s risk assurance team, specialising in the government and public sector. She is also the regional leader for internal audit and health across the North.

Mr Burke joins the Yorkshire practice from London, where he has worked in the firm’s government and public sector team for the last 15 years.

He is an expert in “outcome based” health commissioning models and in his new role, will work closely with Karen to support the firm’s healthcare clients across the North.

Apart from the new promotions, partner Ian Plunkett, has joined the Yorkshire practice from PwC Abu Dhabi, where he led the assurance practice.

He has more than 25 years’ experience working with private, government and listed clients, and will now be focused on the region’s fast-growing, larger private businesses. PwC recently announced that it plans to move to a new site in Central Square in Leeds next year.

Ian Morrison, PwC’s Yorkshire & North East regional leader, said: “These appointments build on a strong year for PwC in Yorkshire, with our new office announcement in Leeds, involvement in many of the leading merger and acquisition deals and appointments of number of key experienced hires.

“They underline our commitment to supporting the growth ambitions of our clients and our optimism about the UK economy.”
