A recruitment firm founded by two industry experts will be celebrating its tenth anniversary this weekend.
Wakefield-based Bagnall Hopkins will mark the milestone with friends, family and business peers at an evening event in the city on February 11.
Since its inception in 2007, the company has successfully placed more than 2,000 people into finance and commercial office roles in the area.
With 38 collective years’ experience in the recruitment sector, founders Kate Bagnall and Louise Hopkins established the business with a vision to provide an honest, consultative approach to staffing.
Ms Bagnall said: “Setting up the business was a life-changing decision for Louise and I. We finally decided to take the leap in November 2007 and we haven’t looked back since.”
Kate Bagnall and Louise Hopkins specialise in recruiting for commercial roles, both on a temporary and permanent basis.
They both had senior management roles at international recruitment firm Hays and now head up Bagnall Hopkins, form their offices in central Wakefield.
Ms Bagnall added: “We chose Wakefield as the perfect location for our business due to its growing business community, investment in local business parks and great transport links.
“We just knew we could make it work through our drive, determination and passion to provide a great service and build fantastic relationships with clients and candidates.”
As part of the anniversary event, Bagnall Hopkins will be supporting Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice by raising money for the charity through an organised balloon raffle on the night.
Despite launching the business at the start of the recession, Bagnall Hopkins has seen year-on-year growth.
Co-founder Ms Hopkins said: “We genuinely care about adding value for our client’s businesses. Despite setting up the business at the beginning of the economic downturn, we have continued to grow year-on-year and maintained healthy profits.
“By offering an honest, consultative approach with superior, consistent customer service, we think we’ve found the recipe for success.
“The future for Bagnall Hopkins looks very bright.”
Bagnall Hopkins recently grew its team to six, with a 20 per cent growth in finance recruitment in the last year.
Most recently Bagnall Hopkins created a new procurement division, which has already placed 10 candidates since the beginning of January 2017 and is set for further growth.
The business is looking to recruit a further three consultants and is looking to move premises in the next 12 months to accommodate the growing team in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
