DETECTIVES have arrested two men after a 21-year-old woman died following a night out.
Sade Ann Russell was discovered at her home in Addison Square, in Dinnington, near Rotherham, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
South Yorkshire Police said she was taken to Sheffield’s Medico Legal Centre where a post mortem examination was carried out, but the results were inconclusive and further toxicology tests would be needed.
Two men, understood to be local to the area, were arrested and questioned last night. Both have since been released on police bail.
A force spokeswoman said Miss Russell’s family was too devastated to comment.
The death is being treated as suspicious and it is understood there are no obvious signs that Miss Mitchell was attacked.
“Police were called via the ambulance service after Sade had returned from a night out,” the spokeswoman said.
“She was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A post mortem was carried out that afternoon but the results proved inconclusive. Police are now awaiting the outcome of further toxicology tests.
“Officers are continuing to make inquiries into the circumstances around Sade’s death.
“Two local men, who were arrested in connection with the inquiry, are still being questioned.”
Officers are trying to trace Miss Russell’s movements since Saturday afternoon. She is believed to have been in the Dinnington area but the police spokeswoman said it was not clear at this stage exactly where she was on Saturday night.
She said: “We believe she was in the Dinnington area. We would appeal for anyone to come forward who can help establish what her movements were from Saturday afternoon onwards.”
