The family-owned firm, which is constructing the new facility in Sinderby, North Yorkshire, is looking for staff to join the new team across a number of roles including HR, finance, purchasing and production.

Digital and marketing positions will also be available.

Heck was founded by husband and wife team Andrew and Debbie Keeble and three of their children in 2013 and is on track to turn over £18m this year.

Co-founder Andrew Keeble said, “We look for people with confidence - people who have personality and a can-do attitude. Of course there are specialist roles within the business but we’re very open to the idea of people changing career paths. That’s what’s brilliant about Heck — there are no job titles and there’s no glass ceiling.”

The firm, which takes its name from the family motto ‘what the heck’, employs a team of 70 staff, which has an average age of 25.

Sales have grown 170 per cent a year and its products are now stocked in major supermarkets, including Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.

The factory plans involve the creation of a glass walkway through which visitors can walk through the entire factory and see the process from beginning to end.

There will also be a visitor centre where people can have refreshments and educational visits can be hosted.
