THE horrors of Halloween have come to York Maze a few weeks early, after a group of university students won a commission to produce a film at the popular tourist attraction.
The three York University students, Tom Day, Danny Ord and Dan Atherton, all 19, are currently filming at York Maze and other locations across the city for the short movie which will form the centrepiece of its upcoming five-night Halloween festival.
Director Tom Day said: “It is a cross-departmental effort with theatre students in the acting roles, and students from the technical courses helping with lighting, make-up and production.
“We’ve already had some late nights filming the chase scenes at the maze, but it’s fantastic fun and everyone is really excited about seeing the final edit.”
The film, called See No Evil, will be screened as part of the York Maze Hallowscream nights which run from Thursday, October 27, to Monday, October 31, and include a host of attractions. picture: gerard binks.
