Esh Construction has appointed Stuart Leslie as divisional director of Esh Build in Yorkshire.
Mr Leslie will direct the business development, corporate social responsibility, pre-construction, production and commercial delivery teams.
He joins from a career of 26 years with the Kier Group, where he held positions ranging from site engineer to contracts manager.
Andy Gawthorpe, regional managing director of Esh Construction, said: “Stuart brings a wealth of experience to the role and will champion operational excellence across the commercial build business. Esh Group has seen strong results and is well placed for continued expansion in Yorkshire.”
Esh Group recently announced a 43 per cent rise in turnover to £277m, and a leap in profit to £9.5m against £3.2m in 2013.
The group, which employs 1,200 people across the North, works across sectors including civil engineering, commercial and public build, house building, facilities management, fencing & landscaping, plumbing, plant hire, specialist remediation and training.
Last year it launched a new £3.6m academy that will create training and employment opportunities for young people across the region. The group has committed to training 150 apprentices from across the North over the next three years through the Esh Academy.
