The incident took place in Drakehouse Lane at around 4.40pm.

It is unclear where the man went after the incident, but police believe there may have been witnesses and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

Inspector Jason Booth, of the Sheffield South East local policing team, said: “I understand incidents of this nature can be incredibly concerning and we are working hard to identify the man in the e-fit image.

“The boy involved was not injured but understandably he and his family are distressed by this matter so it’s important we hear from anyone who may know who this man is or who can help us gather more information about the circumstances of this incident.”
