Sheffield Wednesday pinch Leeds United target and Stoke City midfielder
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY have signed Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney and Stoke City midfielder Tom Soares, ahead of this afternoon's loan deadline.
Northern Ireland international Feeney had been a target for Leeds United in the summer but an injury scuppered the deal.
Cardiff made Feeney available when he returned from injury earlier this month and Leeds were again linked with a player who began as a trainee at Elland Road.
The 28-year-old joins on a month's loan and is available for the Owls up until their visit to Blackpool on December 28.
Wednesday have also signed 21-year-old midfielder Soares from Premier League club Stoke City.
Soares joined the Potters from Crystal Palace for 1.25m in the summer of 2008.
