the owner of a Huddersfield store was threatened with a knife during a robbery yesterday.

He was behind the counter of Bradley Booze and News, on Leeds Road, at 7.55am when a man entered and threatened the victim with a knife, demanding cash.

Fearing for his safety, the 52-year-old handed over £100 in cash from the till.

The suspect stuffed the cash in a bag and ran from the shop, escaping along Leeds Road towards Huddersfield. Anyone with information should call Det Con Divek Ubhi at Huddersfield CID by dialling 101.
