Taliban shooting victim Malala wins place at Oxford
Malala Yousafzai, now 20, was seriously injured when she was gunned down near her home village in Pakistan in 2012.
The Taliban had banned girls from attending school, and Malala was targeted while travelling on a bus home from an exam.

Hide AdShe was later flown to the UK for treatment and the family settled in Birmingham, where Malala was offered a place at the fee-paying Edgbaston High School for Girls.
She has now accepted an offer to read politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford after gaining at least three As at A Level.
Since settling in the UK, Malala has continued to work as an activist, and became the youngest ever winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
