Team news: Dutch winger Etienne Esajas could start for the Owls after impressing in the midweek Carling Cup defeat to Rotherham United.

Marcus Tudgay (thigh) is struggling and Leon Clarke will start in the absence of injured striker Akpo Sodje (knee). Striker Francis Jeffers and defender Frank Simek and still recovering from ankle problems.

Both Matthew Spring and Lee Hendrie pushed their claims by impressing in the Carling Cup.

Simon Davey: "We have to start well at home and get a good result. We had a great record here last season."
