Teenage driver arrested over pedestrian's death in Doncaster

Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with a collision that led to the death of a pedestrian in the Stainforth area of Doncaster at the weekend.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was in police custody being questioned by officers.

Susan Gravel, 62, died from the injuries she suffered in the collision involving a grey/silver BMW in Station Road just before 1pm on Saturday.

South Yorkshire Police is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision and anyone with any information which may help officers with their enquiries is asked to call the force via 101, quoting incident number 841 of March 11.
