A TEENAGER is being questioned by police investigating a series of attempted armed robberies.
Police said the 17-year-old, from Bolton Woods, Bradford, was being held in connection with four incidents in the city on Thursday.
They said in the first, staff at a post office in Wrose Road were threatened at 3pm with what was believed to be a handgun before another post office was targeted at 6.30pm on Lilycroft Road, Manningham.
The same man is believed to have struck again 15 minutes later at a food store in Bishop Street but again fled. Fifteen minutes later staff at Subway on Keighley Road, Frizinghall, were also threatened.
Det Insp Mark Long said: “Although there was nobody injured during these offences and nothing was taken, they are clearly extremely concerning.
“The victims in each offence will undoubtedly have been very frightened and fearing for their personal safety.”
