Residents of the East Yorkshire town of Hornsea have been evacuated tonight due to tidal flooding.

The east coast storm surge has led to the evacuation of 30 properties in areas including Marine Drive and New Road. There are also reports of a house fire on New Road.

Water levels have breached the sea wall, although they have now begun to recede with the tide.
