Three arrested after man stabbed in Sheffield

A MAN suffered a stab wound to his chest during an attack in Sheffield in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to London Road near Barry's Bar just before 4.30am today (Saturday December 19) following reports that a man had been stabbed.

Three men were arrested nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in police custody.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to the Northern General Hospital where he remains in a stable condition with a puncture wound to his chest.

His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
