Tiny pug puppy stolen from garden near Doncaster

A pug puppy has been stolen from its owner's garden near Doncaster.

Police want to hear from anyone with information about the reported theft which occurred in Stainforth earlier this month, between 10.15pm and 10.20pm on Saturday, January 7.

When the owner went out to bring Larry back inside, the garden gate to the property on Kirton Lane was found to be open and he was gone.

Larry is a black pug and has been micro-chipped, and is very small for his age.

Police said his owner is incredibly distressed by the suspected theft.

Despite enquiries in the local community, Larry has still not been found and officers are now asking the public for help.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on the evening in question is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police by calling 101, quoting incident number 157 of 8 January 2017.
