A TEAM of Premier League football referees will be pounding the pavements of Leeds this summer.
They are taking part in the Clarion 10K Corporate Challenge, part of the Jane Tomlinson Run For All Leeds 10K and will be competing against lawyers, members of the media and other professionals.
Raising money for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal will be 2010 World Cup Final referee Howard Webb, who will be joined by Phil Dowd, Martin Atkinson, Mike Jones, Jon Moss, and ten other Football League officials.
Mike Jones, who is leading the team, has even persuaded his wife Kathy to join in. He said: “We are aiming to raise £2,500 for Jane’s Appeal and we’re all looking forward to being a part of the day.”
