Long delays after trains halted near York and Doncaster
TRAIN services between Yorkshire and London have been decimated after two trackside incidents at York and Doncaster blocked the east coast main line.
Network Rail said a person had been hit by a train between Doncaster and Retford, and another between York and Doncaster.
Trains between Hull, Leeds, York, Doncaster and the capital are being delayed by nearly an hour, with the disruption expected to last all morning.

Hide AdCrossCountry, Grand Central, Hull Trains and Virgin East Coast services are all affected.
Trains were not running between Doncaster and Retford, or between York and Doncaster this morning, and there is disruption on all other routes through Doncaster.
Passengers are being allowed to make alternative journeys on East Midlands trains to and from London St Pancras via Sheffield, and CrossCountry services between York and Sheffield.
