Yorkshire rail operator comes in top of league

The train operator which runs services between Hull and London has come out top of a national survey for passenger satisfaction for the fourth year running.

Hull Trains scored 97 per cent overall in the independent Transport Focus survey, six per cent higher than the other East Coast mainline operator, Virgin Trains.

The company scored nine per cent higher than the average for punctuality and 21 per cent higher than the average for availability of staff on the train.

Will Dunnett, Managing Director of Hull Trains said: “The 97 per cent satisfaction score matches our best ever result, and remains the highest score ever achieved by a rail operator.

“What makes the result special is that over the last four years we have consistently topped the NRPS satisfaction scores which is just reward for our unwavering focus on the customer.
