A SPONSORED truck pull by colleagues from four Yorkshire branches of a van and truck firm is expected to raise several thousands of pounds for the Help for Heroes charity.
Staff from branches of Northside Truck and Van, which has bases in Leeds, Bradford, Doncaster and Sheffield, harnessed up to pull a tractor unit from the Elland Way branch in Leeds to the Real Radio HQ at the Tingley roundabout, a distance of about four miles.
Around 30 members of staff took part, pulling the five-tonne HGV unit up a hill which was “steeper than you think”, according to Ian Hannon, one of the team leaders at the Leeds branch.
