Two people taken to hospital after car overturns following crash near York

Emergency services were called to the A1237 York Outer Ring Road, near the junction with Wigginton Road, at around 12.25pm yesterday.

Firefighters from Huntington found two vehicles were involved, with one car having overturned.

Nobody was trapped but the crew worked alongside police to make the vehicles safe and sweep debris from the carriageway.

A North Yorkshire Fire Service spokesman said the two injured people had been taken to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
