UPDATE: Elderly man dies following Station Parade collision

The 83-year-old man who was seriously injured when he was hit by a car last month, has died from his injuries.

​The incident happened at 1.40pm on Wednesday October 21, on Station Parade, close to the entrance to the bus station.

The elderly Harrogate man, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary and suffered from critical injuries.

The driver of the car a black VW Golf was shaken up at the time but otherwise uninjured.

​Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Anyone who saw the collision and has not yet come forward is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Investigation Team.
