Yorkshire cricket figures descended on Headingley yesterday for the official opening of the club’s £300,000 museum.

Players from teams of the 1950s and 1960s were on hand.

Guests included museum director David Hall; former Yorkshire and England captain Brian Close; and Dr Keith Howard, chairman of The Emerald Foundation, which funded the museum.

The foundation is part of Emerald Group Publishing.
