Video: Virgin Racing gearing up for Formula 1 debut
THE new Formula 1 season is only a matter of days away and Yorkshire's brand new team are revving up to make the grid.
Virgin Racing, borne out of the Manor Motorsport name that gained a big reputation in Formula 3, is based at Dinnington in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
John Booth launched the Manor name in 1990 and began planning for Formula 1 in March of last year.
They were named as one of four new teams in June 2009 and became Virgin Racing in December when Sir Richard Branson's global brand came in with their financial clout.
Experienced German Timo Glock and exciting rookie Lucas Di Grassi will drive for the new team.
Here, Nick Westby talks to Virgin Racing's founder and team principal, John Booth at the Dinnington workshop.
