MANY of the region’s most prestigious producers and suppliers have descended upon Harrogate’s Great Yorkshire Showground this weekend for Yorkshire Post Magazine Live 2013.

The event at The Pavillion of Harrogate is being held for the first time and is free to visitors. It brings together more than 50 exhibitors to encapsulate the main themes of the Yorkshire Post Magazine, which is available every Saturday with the newspaper, ranging from homes and gardens to food and drink.

Products at the showcase event include fashion, jewellery, beauty products, kitchens, gourmet foods, wines and photography. Visitors have the chance to take in demonstrations and presentations from some of the region’s brightest talents.

Chefs Stephanie Moon, Rudding Park’s chef consultant who appeared on this year’s Great British Menu, John Rudden, head chef at double rosette winning Grassington House, and Lee Bennett, executive chef of two new restaurants in Leeds, Crafthouse and Angelica, will give demonstrations while the Yorkshire Post’s award-winning wine writer Christine Austin is hosting a tasting presentation and sharing tales of trips to the world’s wine regions.

Jamie Hempsall, a member of the British Institute of Interior Design and regular Yorkshire Post columnist, will share ideas on transforming interiors and landscapes and Tricia Douglas will demonstrate her talent in creating bespoke designs. Julie Arnfield-Crowther will deliver a masterclass on how to improve knitting skills and creating accessories, and Sheffield-based Lee Bestall, Grand Designs’ Garden Designer of the Year 2012, will share his favourite spring plants and flowers and offer tips for successful garden design.
