The search is on to find the greatest sporting decision of all time with legends like Sir Alex Ferguson lining up against Andy Murray, and a French journalist desperate to sell more copies of his newspaper.
A list of 50 momentous moves that helped change the face of sport has been drawn up by a Sky Sports panel and they want sports fans to have the final say.
Recently retired Sir Alex, who won dozens of trophies in his time at Old Trafford, gets two entries in the list with his move to buy Frenchman Eric Cantona from Leeds United singled out alongside his decision to send on match-winning substitutes, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who both scored in the final moments of the 1999 Champions League final.
Wimbledon victor Andy Murray is praised for his appointment of Ivan Lendl as his coach in 2011 with transformed him from nearly man into a grand slam winner.
The list also include Geo Lefevre who came up with the idea for the Tour de France which was launched in 1903 to push sales of his sports paper L’Auto.
