Last year’s national winner was Alexa Greaves, of AAG Systems in Sheffield, who set up her IT and infrastructure business in 2009.

She said: “I think it’s really important that women receive the recognition they deserve and hope that my achievements will also inspire other women in this industry.”

Regional heats for the awards will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne, Birmingham, London and Manchester.

All category winners from each region will then compete for the overall title of the Business Woman of the Year at the national final to be held in Leeds in December.
