A CHAINSAW carving celebrating the successes of the Yorkshire-born Brownlee brothers has been unveiled in the presence of the stars themselves.
The ‘Triathlon’ sculpture in Bramhope, Leeds, was created by Shane Green to celebrate the pair’s Olympic success, which saw Alistair take gold and Jonathan bronze. The eight-foot sculpture will now be on display near The Birches in Otley Road and Leeds Road. The artist is now planning a stone sculpture to mark next year’s Tour de France event in Yorkshire. picture: steve riding
