THE Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, is reported to have suffered a heart attack in the secure hospital where he is being held, and is said by “friends” to be “close to death”.
The Sun quoted associates of the 13-times killer as saying he was “on the brink of death” after his latest health scare.
68 year-old Sutcliffe, from Bradford, also suffers from diabetes, and he lost an eye in an attack by a fellow inmate.
He is housed in the high-security Broadmoor Hospital, where he is serving the 20 life sentences he was handed in 1981 for 13 murders and seven attempted murders, mostly in West Yorkshire.
Broadmoor has declined to comment on the report.
