Men in balaclavas rob Sheffield petrol station

Two masked men, one of whom was believed to be carrying a knife, threatened a member of staff in a Sheffield petrol station before fleeing with cash from the till.

Both men were wearing grey balaclavas when they entered the Jet petrol station in Owler Lane in the Grimesthorpe area at about 9.20pm on Tuesday, September 13.

No one was injured during the incident but the threatened worker was left shaken after the suspects fled on foot in the direction of Upwell Street and the Page Hall area.

Detective Constable Lindsey Fishwick, said: “Both men are described as white, of medium build and between 16-20-years-old.

“One of the men was wearing light coloured jeans and a dark hooded top while the other was wearing a blue jacket.

“Following initial enquiries, including CCTV analysis, I’d like to ask members of the public if they have any information about what happened.

“Do you know who is responsible? If you were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious please get in touch with us via 101 quoting incident number 1336 of 13 September 2016.”
