The latest incident occurred at around 12.45pm on Sunday afternoon, when shots were fired outside the Fox House Inn on Hathersage Road. It came just days after police were called out to two incidents of gun fire in Scotia Drive, Manor and Longley Avenue West, Shirecliffe within hours of each other on the evening of April 28. Detective Chief Inspector Steve Whittaker said: “Our enquiries into the firearms incidents in the Manor and Shirecliffe areas of Sheffield last week continue, as well as a number of live investigations into other reported firearms incidents across the city in recent weeks.“We are following up a number of lines of enquiry including the recovery of any available forensic evidence.“I’d repeat our public appeal for information about these incidents, which I understand will concern many local residents. We do believe that there will be individuals out there who know who is responsible for these acts, as we believe that these incidents are targeted.“We believe that our local community and the information you hold could prove vital and I’d urge anyone who knows any small detail to get in touch.“If you’re uncomfortable speaking directly to police, Crimestoppers allows you to give information anonymously via 0800 555 111.
