Firefighters have tackled a large fire at a derelict mill in Bradford.

Crews were called to Prospect Mills in Prospect Street, in the Thornton area of the city, at around 2.10pm this afternoon.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said 12 pumps and two aerial platforms were needed to bring the blaze under control as it spread through the entire building.

The fire engulfed an area of 65 metres by 15 metres and needed the attention of fire teams from across the area.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said there were no reports of anyone being injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
