LISTEN to comedy legends Paul Merton and Leeds's own Barry Cryer, in our latest Arts and Culture podcast.
The comedians are helping out with the fundraising effort at the Leeds City Varieties Theatre, and we caught up with both of them.

Also, Halifax author Linda Green reads from her novel Things I Wish I'd Known, a story of teenage obsession and second chances.

Green, a former journalist, is the author of four books and while her books are sometimes marketed as 'chick-lit', she says they are anything but, with a much darker heart.

There's a report from Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre, where Chris Monks reveals the summer season on stage with a little help from Sir Alan Ayckbourn.

And we have an exclusive recording from The Girl I Left Behind Me, a performance brought to the Howard Assembly Rooms by Opera North.

Yorkshire Post Arts correspondent Nick Ahad is in the studio with Digital Editor David Behrens.
