ROTHERHAM United chairman Tony Stewart met officials from the Football League yesterday as part of his club's attempt to avoid a points deduction next season.
The Millers have still to win approval for a Company Voluntary Arrangement and could be docked 15 points if they opt to exit administration without one.
New owner Stewart also wants final approval for home games to be staged at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield next season after quitting Millmoor in a dispute over rent with landlord Ken Booth. A meeting with the club's creditors, which was due to take place last week, was cancelled and is likely to be re-scheduled for later this month.
Doncaster Rovers defender Adam Lockwood, 26, has signed a new two-year deal, but Steve Roberts has decided to join Walsall after rejecting the offer of a new deal.
Defender Alan Sheehan has completed a permanent switch to Leeds United from Leicester.
Left-back Sheehan, 21, spent four months on loan at Elland Road last season and helped the club reach the League One
play-off final. His contract has expired at Leicester, but the clubs still need to agree a compensation fee as the player is under 24.
