Former Athletic Bilbao star Garcia, 25, has joined League Two side Rotherham United on a deal until the end of the season and is in contention to make his debut in today's local derby at Chesterfield.
The Recreation Ground at Saltergate will be de
molished when the Spireites move to a new home at Whittington Moor and has struggled to move with the times since its construction back in the 1870s.
Garcia is likely to find it a long way removed from the 40,000 capacity San Mames Stadium in Bilbao where he started his career and manager Mark Robins admits that the player will need time to adjust.
"Omar needs time to bed in because he hasn't had a proper pre-season and he has come from a foreign country," said Robins.
"But he is a good player and he has come for a year initially. Let's see how he does."
Team news: The Millers have defender Pablo Mills and striker Ryan Taylor back after illness while new signing Omar Garcia is hoping to make his debut.
