Millers forced to play waiting game

ROTHERHAM United could find out in the next week if they have satisfied their creditors and ended their financial turmoil.
New chairman Tony Stewart has put forward the club's proposals in a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) and if the creditors accept, the Millers will come out of administration.
However, if the proposals are rejected, Stewart would then have to purchase the club outside the CVA and therefore invoke a further 15-point penalty for the start of the new season.
Stewart said: "Creditors have got six weeks to decide but I would say that by the middle of next week we'll have an indication.
"Our administrators think they can swing it for us, but we're prepared for the worst, which is the points penalty, if it comes to that."
Rotherham have already been forced to leave their Millmoor home because of crippling overheads.
They kick-off next season in a temporary home at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield, while they await plans for a community stadium for the town's football and rugby clubs to materialise.
Despite the upheaval, Stewart said: "We're a lot more stable now than we were four weeks ago."
