The summer signing from Yeovil scored with not one but two stunning strikes to register his first League goals and very few full-backs end up scoring twice in a game without the aid of a penalty.
"They were both outstanding goals and similar in ex
ecution because he curled them into the far corner," said Rotherham manager Mark Robins.
"We were certainly very good value for the win and it has capped an excellent start to the campaign what with the penalty shoot-out win over Sheffield Wednesday as well.
"The team was confident from the start but we must keep this going, and remember we are still on minus 11 points."
Lynch set Rotherham going in the seventh minute with a left-foot effort into the top corner.
Ryan Taylor notched his first of the season just before half-time after a slick move between Reuben Reid and Mark Hudson.
Andy Warrington made a good save to deny Michael Carr as Morecambe tried to get back in the second half and they gave themselves hope when Neil Wainwright pulled one back with 13 minutes left.
Rotherham held on without alarm and in the last minute Lynch cut inside again before curling his effort inside the far post.
